Our 2018 Marlborough Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc is named for our oldest child Leo.
Crafted from fruit sourced from some of the oldest vines in our 'Home Block', yields were kept low to ensure optimum ripeness and intensely concentrated fruit flavours. Hand harvested then whole bunch pressed to large format seasoned oak, our Leo is a beautifully rich and textural style of Sauvignon Blanc that displays honeysuckle, passionfruit and elderflower aromas and flavours.
This wine will repay careful cellaring for 3-5 years.
92 Points Bob Campbell (May 2019)
"Hand-picked grapes from a relatively old vineyard were whole-bunch-pressed and fermented in large format seasoned oak barrels. The result is a pleasingly textural sauvignon with passionfruit, guava and subtle spicy oak and nutty yeast lees flavours."
